We would like to invite you to attend an event this coming Saturday, September 9, 2006, which will take place in Zavidovici.  We will use this opportunity to open yet another Archaeological Park in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will be “The Park of Bosnian Stone Balls.

«Archaeological Park Foundation; Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun» and the local county of Zavidovici, are working together to establish a new archaeological park in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

The mysterious stone balls date from pre-historical era and vary in sizes. Their dimensions recorded; the smallest ones are half of meter, and largest, two and a half of meters in radius. They are characteristic for perfect spherical shape, and are estimated to weigh in tons. Such stone balls were never found in Europe before, and Bosnia and Herzegovina is the only European country to report such findings.

The stone balls phenomena are also recorded in Costa Rica and Mexico, and now, in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Places and cities within the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina that are  known for such mysterious phenomena are; villages Trn and Slatina near Banja Luka, Teocak, Kakanj,Vares, Maglaj, Konjic, Zenica, Sanski Most, Mostar, Olovo, Srebrenik, Zavidovici, etc.

Archaeological Park; »Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun Foundation» is in the process of the research and intends to protect archaeological artifacts that have been neglected until now. 

This way, many experts, scholars and tourists will have an opportunity to see these valuable archaeological places, which are all located in smaller towns of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Because of these reasons, Foundation is inviting The Ministry of Culture, local experts and various media outlets to attend this event.

This coming Saturday, (on September 09, 2006) at 9; 30 am, bus transportation will be organized in front of the National Museum.

The gathering in Zavidovici will take place between 11: 30-12: 00 AM. . The visit to these locations (which are 3 kilometers from downtown Zavidovici), will take place exactly at noon.
