Head of Bosnian Pyramid Foundation Visits UK

Sam Osmanagich, the founder of the Foundation Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of Sun, and the man who recently discovered Bosnia's 'Pyramid Valley', is to present the Foundation's latest findings to the UK press this week.

The press conference will take place on Friday 1st February at 6.00pm, at the Salon Gallery, 82 Westbourne Grove, London W2 5RT.

The excavations at the Visoko Valley will, says Osmanagich, eventually reveal that the world's biggest pyramid is to be found in Bosnia - the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun.

Who built the pyramid, how it was created and when it was done remain a mystery, and opinion is divided over the existence of the pyramid itself. Osmanagich hopes that the excavations will confirm that the structure at Visoko is manmade and that they will reveal some of its mysteries.

During the winter months, the team has focused on excavating some of the extensive tunnels that have been created in the region surrounding the pyramidal structures. The Foundation believes these tunels are several kilometres long and that most are under the town of Visoko city and connect all three pyramids.

The Foundation will also work with other cultural organisations to help to preserve Bosnian culture and history. One of its current projects is the search for the grave of the Bosnian king Kulin Ban which is believed to be in the Visoko area.
Tourist facilities are now being created by the local townspeople, who have seen an influx of visitors since the project got underway in 2006. Some 400,000 people visited the excavation sites last year.
