The Foundation has formally submitted an appeal to the Federal Ministry of public property requesting permission for continuing archeological research in the protected zone of Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun, specifically in location “Stari Grad Visoko”. Also submitted along with the appeal was an extensive multidisciplinary project proposal involving twenty eight (28) experts hailing from eight countries and impressively wide-ranging fields, such as: archeology, history, geology, geophysics, paleontology, geodesic sciences, geomorphology, anthropology, ecology, ethnology, sociology, pedagogy, art history, and georadar science, among many others.

As is publicly known, the Foundation is a non-profit organization registered for the sole purpose of conducting archeological research on Bosnian territory. The Foundation’s foremost project is precisely the research, conservation, and inclusion of Bosnia’s pyramid valley in all later (Illyrian, Roman, and Medieval) cultures. The very essence of the project is conservation of Bosnia’s cultural heritage and her induction into the world’s historical and tourist forefront.

Unfortunately, for quite a long period of time, accountable institutions neglected Stari Grad’s historical location, allowing it to steadily wither and decay. The Foundation has taken it upon herself to stop this deterioration and present this archeological treasure for the world to see. 

Three days after the appeal’s submission, the Trust for the Preservation of National Monuments, headed by presiding commission member, Dubravko Lovrenovic, issued a statement warning that “support of this project or the government’s cooperation and assistance in research activities is a direct violation of law”.
