Mr. Semir Osmanagic welcomed today Mr. Dario Andretti, a Dr. of geological sciences and the dean of University „Humic Lumici“ from Italy, as well as Mr. Goražd Žilbert, Dr. of geological sciences from the Institute of Geology of Slovenia. Besides, Ms. Sabina Mujkic, a geologist from Slovenia joined the esteemed visitors in their tour around the Plateau of Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun and the Old Town of Visoki.

Afterwards, the guests were taken to the Bosnian Pyramid of Moon, where they were joined by geologists Ms. Nadija Nukic and Dr. Aly Barakat. Dr Andretti visited the excavation site no.1 where he researched blocks of sand stone that had been discovered a few days prior to visit. Dr. Andretti and Mrs Nukic visited the excavations on Pljesevica hill, while Mr. Osmanagic, Mrs El Habiby and Mr. Berekat headed to Sarajevo to attend a reception at the courtesy of Embassy of Egypt. In Sarajevo, they were joined by Ms. Elma Kovacevic and Mr. Mario Gerussi.

In the afternoon, Dr. Andretti viewed the excavation site no.12. This uncovered site had already noted the presence of blocks of sand stone shaping of a wall. At the distance of 2 meters from the front blocks, a wall of 1 meter height and 70 cm width with continuity to both left and right was identified. Immediately upon arrival to this excavation suite, Dr. Andretti stated that the wall in question had been built by a human. Having additionally examined the site, he noted the presence of a possible entrance to the Pyramid, but added that extra examination should be carried out in order to be able to offer a final confirmation.

According to the distinguished geologist from Italy, this is yet another proof that supports the hypothesis set by Mr. Osmanagic, which, as he pointed out, could not be refuted.

The works on excavation sites were continued today in the following order – on the excavation site no. 1, new locations were uncovered of the dimensions 1, 5x1, 5 meters. In this uncovered location, a team that consists of archeologists Silvana ?obanov, Lamia El Hadidy and Nancy Gallou found a fossil remains of a leaf of a rectangular A3 shape.

The works on excavation site no.6 are ongoing and include dislocation of material towards the upper part of the site. Besides, the works are ongoing on the locations no. 15 and 16. These locations are cleared and made accessible and the surface layer is starting to be removed.

Volunteers gave their contribution to exploration of Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun. 43 volunteers - members of “Youth Forum of SDP” from Gracanica, did some fine works and removed the surface layer on the location no.5.

Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun was also visited by a consul of Republic of Slovenia in BiH, Mr. Bogdan Star. Mr. Osmanagic welcomed Mr. Star to whom, together with a group of tourists from Monte Negro, presented the Project.

Finally, Pyramid of the Sun was also visited by 80 employees of “Dita”, a factory based in Tuzla, 40 members of a Folklore Association “Bascarsija” from Sarajevo, 60 participants of Sarajevo Kids Festival, German members of EUFOR based in Tuzla as well as many others international and national visitors.
